Stayed on the piss through Sunderland before planning on heading back towards Gateshead last night, We decided last minute to go through to Newcastle and have a night out because one of the lads knew someone who worked at 'House of Smith'..

We rocked out the taxi about half 11, went into Gotham and knocked trebles back like there was nee tomorra with massive grins on our faces, surrounded by a few pissed Mags singing the Peter Reid song while drowning there sorrows.

Decided to leave and headed down towards House of Smith until i bumped into a lad i knew who works for TupTup Palace, he telt me all the Sunderland squads inside, I didn't kna if to believe him or not but anyway we headed down and opted for there instead.

Gets inside, asks the lad if they were actually knocking around and he said aye there through the VIP section at the back, took his word for it and went for a mooch before going for a piss. Walking towards the back we realised there was nee bouncers stopping access through to the main bit so took a chance and strolled through.

Whole squad sitting there, Altidore bouncing around like a lunatic, Fletcher absolutely mortal drunk drinking Vodka straight out the bottle.. Not normally the type to do this but went over to Johnson who was sitting in the booth and shook his hand and said well done for today we appreciate it. He acknowledged and got us to sit down, had some craic with him and told us to help ourselves to the drink on the table. Johnson also stated he wishes the fans got behind him more, said he genuinely works his bolllocks off all game and gives it his all every time and the pressure from the fans doesn't help, always has lacked self belief and confidence, not something i thought he would have. It wasn't a sob story by the way just accepted thats the way football is sometimes and always wants to give more and more.

Players kept coming in and out of the booth, every single one of them made the effort to speak, genuinely seemed interested in what we did for a living and so on. Fantastic to see.

Altidore and Cabral were open to questions, We asked Altidore about Di Canio and they all just laughed, said he was an absolute lunatic beyond words and whats even been said in the press. Altidore and Cabral very complimentary about Poyet and said he's fantastic. Cabral apparently injured and will be back in two weeks, dinnar what his injury was but its probably something to do with his lungs as he was nipping off outside every 10 minutes for a tab

All seemed a genuine top set of lads, never seen anything like Fletcher though, Johnson pulled him over to speak and he rein-acted his header before going "2-1 SOZ!!!!" then stumbled off elsewhere with Bardsley.

Cracking day. Sunderland til we die'

If true, it is a pity they chose to drink in Newcastle...It was one hell of a post match party in Sunderland which I'm sure they would have enjoyed..

Would they have gone down the town after that result??? I doubt it! I'd be constantly looking over my shoulder expecting a bottle to the back of the head!

Well there was some people saying that Fletcher was in 'Tup Tup', singing 'Steven Fletcher he scores when he wants', and this story adds credibility to that

Glad to see the players having fun like, as long as they're not going out getting extremely pissed when they have training the next day. *cough* Bardsley *cough*
