With Chesterfield and MK Dons having to re-run their Second Round tie last Friday, the Third Round thread was cancelled due to 'Roadworks' Chesterfield prevailed and finally played their Third Round tie with baton holders Scun.thorpe last night. A 2-2 draw means we don't yet know who will be the guardian of the road into Round Four. We do however know the Fourth Round opponents; Derby County, who broke Southport's hearts with a stoppage time penalty on Saturday. Fourth Round Day tomorrow and it's CHESTERFIELD (8th in League One) holding the baton as they travel to Championship high fliers Derby County. The winners will be just two wins away from Wembley and three from the final itself.
Really think that Derby County will be too strong for Chesterfield, but hey, it's the FA Cup, anything can happen.
