Every season I have deceided that I will come up with some predictions for over the coming season and then we can look back over them to see if anything correct came off! (In Order) Euro Championships 2012 - England crash out in the group stages after disappointing draws with Ukraine and Sweden, with fans immediately calling for Hodgson's resignation! Premier League: Arsenal - Despite the third 'clear out' in as many seasons, the transfer window see's three new foreigners join the gunners and their only achievement this season being Carling Cup runners up. (Clear-out: means departure of key players like Fabregas, Nasri and this season van Persie) Chelsea - Despite Abramovich wanting to spend £20m on a new manager alone, he reluctantly gives Di Matteo the job but due to only being third at Christmas sacks him and replaces him with Guus Hiddink. Liverpool - Martinez turns out to be another 'Hodgeson' (brilliant at other clubs but not at Liverpool). Sacked by New Year and replaced with Rafa Benitez just as the January window kicks in. Manchester City - continue to spend endlessly despite there being no need to. Balotelli sold after another rugby tackle on the pitch! They win nothing! Mancini resigns at end of season due to not being able to control the many players egos... Manchester United - Back with a bang! Win the Premier League and FA Cup and just miss out in the Champions League semi-finals to Barcelona! Newcastle - knocked out of the Europa League early on and only manage a mid-table finish. QPR - Spend, spend, spend, and it backfires spectacularly! Joey Barton is removed as captain and is auctioned off as Gordan Ramsey's PA. SOUTHAMPTON! - A few signings brought in and manage to have a decent first season back finishing 12th. Tottenham - After being knockd out of Euro 2012, Redknapp declares that he was desperate for the England job despite saying a few months ago that he wasn't bothered. Spurs offer him a massive pay rise to keep him which he accepts before resigning late in the season due to 'lack of transfer funds'. West Hoof - like QPR, buy an entirely new team which just about works after a last day survival between them, Wigan and Swansea.
Here goes: 1st Man City (buy Hazard and a few other World Class players, clinch it by 5 points) 2nd Man United (do well, not well enough, Fergie retires) 3rd Arsenal (providing they keep Van Persie) 4th Chelsea (Di Matteo is sacked in Jan being 6th, Bayern managers comes in, picks them up) 5th Everton (contreversial, but if they can spend, and have Jelavic and Pienaar for a whole season, Europa League) 6th Tottenham (3rd in January, but season falls apart) 7th Newcastle (lose Cabaye to Chelsea, but win Carling Cup) 8th Sunderland (O'Neill knows what he's doing, get some good young defenders) 9th Fulham (Jol keeps his stars at the club and happy, puling off some great results) 10th Liverpool (Martinez is out of his depth, Gerrard is past it, they are now just a mid-table team) 11th Stoke (Southampton is disguise achieve lid table safety again) 12th Saints (a few good signings, and Sir Rickie scores 21 goals, good season for us) 13th West Ham (spend lots, buts do have Prem Quality Team, get a new manager) 14th Norwich (Lambert leaves to West Brom, Malky Mackay comes in, they go OK) 15th Swansea (Others teams work them out, no Sigurdsson, edgy season) 16th West Brom (Paul Lambert in, but relegation battle until last couple of games) 17th Aston Villa (Scrape survival, need new ideas) 18th Wigan (lose Martinez, and few key players, finally down after years of relegation battling) 19th QPR (spend lots, but play awful football, go down with a whimper and have to sell in the summer) 20th Reading (^^^)
Anyone else think 12th is slightly over-confident? don't get me wrong it's easily achievable and it's great to have confidence in the team but I would be more than happy with 17th to be honest.
17th would be great , most saints fans would be happy i guess . i just worry weather the don would be happy ? i do worry for Adkins if we dont start well next season .

Too difficult to call until the players and manager merry go round in the close season. This will give us more insight into the ambitions of Villa, Liverpool, Reading and ourselves. I think the most likely of the predictions is that Newcastle finish mid-table due to their European exploits. I also expect to see Man U push on a bit but not sure that will be enough and I cannot see Mancini resigning.
Top looks fine, but bottom half is a bit off the wall, though will accept Saints position. Can't see Sunderland getting up to 9th or Swansea/Stoke being that low. Unless you have a time machine?
Awful spell of whether we are having! I think NA is safe for the moment, as to if NC is happy? We will never know.
You haven't done too badly. You predicted that QPR would crash and burn, and that Di Matteo would be sacked with Chelsea 3rd in the league!
