    Place him Brucie!

I maintain that he can be a good player given time however the only way he can develop that stregnth is if he comes off the bench when he are 3 down to fulham or he starts games such as Bolton away in place of someone like Muntari who was poor last game and showed 0 energy levels.

He scores goals for Paraguay and can pass a ball, why isnt he been given the chance to play in games like this in oder to develop him into a first team player and not just an outside squad member.

    Thoughts?

Because Bruce sees him every day and obviously thinks he is not up to it, why is he on the bench, no idea

Here! here! Couldn't agree more mate. I've mentioned him several times over the last few weeks. He's not going to get to grips with the pace of the PL sat on the bench. Also agree that he should take muntari's place in the team because Muntarl was a ****ing embarrassment last week.

    Play Riveros I say!

exactly, if hes not up to it he wouldnt be on the bench as an option. Hes got a good passing range and whats changed since we started him away too spurs back in november, he can only have developed as a footballer surely? It seems as though he is a victim of the Notts county game considering he got subbed even though i maintain he was our best player that day.

To be fair to Riveros he hasn't exactly done anything wrong when he has played has he, he just aint set the world on fire, he gets the ball and plays tidy sideways passes.

I would play him and say you have 3games to save your SAFC career and see what he can do, I agree he isn't going to sat on the bench

When he first arrived at the SOL he and Da Silva were given glowing reports from Bruce who maintained they were the future for Sunderland. What happened? I don't think either of them were given a fair crack of the whip. They've never been given a chance to prove themselves. These excuses that they had to bring themselves up to the pace of the Premier don't wash. If you don't play you can't adapt. Why the hell did Bruce sign them them in the first place?

People are assuming Riveros is gonna get peddled, but remember Palacios, Figeroua (who's still **** incidentally) and Rodellega made little impression in their forst year.

All is not lost in Riveros, i genuinely think he's got a lot of quality, and his name is mint.

Cristian Miguel Riveros Núñez. Cool as.

Give the lad a cnance...at least he's a Sunderland player, which is more than Muntari is.....he's just another gold-digger who doesn't care who he plays for as long as he gets paid!!

Biggest disappointment for me and agree he should be given these last 3 games to prove that he can do it. He is not played because SB sees him everyday and doesn't think he's up to it according to syd, which is probably a fair assessment but, if he isn't up to it why is he on the bench or more to the point why is he still with us?
Most of us sussed Muntari after his second appearance as a mercenary who wants a bigger club to come in for him another mistake in a season riddled with them for me. So play Riveros and give him the chance at least you never know he could save Bruces job whether that's a good thing or not is for people to make their own mind up about.
