Motson saying that he thought the Stoke player got the ball before the man. Poor old thing can't see that Ivanovic dived, why on Earth have BBC not forced the senile old codger retire? :D

I wasn't expecting Chelsea fans to apologise for winning, if that's what you're meaning and of course I'd be pleased with 3 points too.

We did outplay you at the Bridge last season incase you forgot too :)

I was just saying winning games when you're not at your best is a trait of title challenger. You'd need to do it a few more times to convince me you can win it :p

We outplayed you at WHL though <nahnah>

I seem to remember a ball controlled by an arm before the player went on to score. Another example of your effing luck District. Don't forget that you're a top 6 team whereas we are a top 4. I'm wondering whether your coach will last the pace.

You clearly don't remember the game against us at Stamford Bridge last season, where you were extremely lucky to escape with a draw.
Another game in which your opponents hit the woodwork late on, if you care to try and recall it.
More possession, more and better chances and only some scrappy goalline clearances stopped you from losing.
Not sure how you've chosen to remember it, to be honest.

More diving and a nasty foul today, apparently.
Getting a bit of a reputation for simulation.

We were lucky at the Bridge last season but that's about the only time (bar the 4-3) where Spurs have come remotely close to troubling us at the Bridge and we were every bit as good as you were at WHL and also hit the woodwork ourselves.

You deserved to win at the Bridge but we really ought to have won at WHL last season and the season before.

The games between us will be very close again this year as they normally are. I can't see us playing as badly as we did at the Bridge again though and remember we hit the woodwork ourselves with your keeper rooted to the spot.

Chelsea's CM pairing is going to be a problem for them, I reckon. Lampard is hardly a top class CM and it's position that he has to adjust his game to play. Mikel was dreadful against Juve, and most Chelsea fans I know reckon he is a massive weak link. Next Saturday should be interesting, reckon we can really boss them in there. This and the CF position is why Chelsea will not trouble the two Manchester clubs.

I completely agree, I think you'll lose tomorrow but probably beat us on Saturday, it's the least confident I've ever been at the Emirates. You'll overpower us in the midfield I fear. Chelsea and Arsenal for me won't trouble the Manchester clubs

I'm thinking Chelsea will have a mid table finish.

I'm thinking that if I get down on one knee to Mila Kunis, she'll accept. :emoticon-0138-think

Oh yeah, that was the game where we had a goal wrongly ruled out and Terry had to save on the line in the last minute, wasn't it? <whistle>

YV we discussed this. It was ruled about because G*llas was deemed to be interfering with play. Adebayor was onside but G*llas was offside. I think the Ade chance in the last minute was the only time you were in our half, that would have been hard to take if we'd lost that.

AVB unbeaten at WHL as manager of Chelsea and Spurs thus far <whistle>

Chelsea have made the most of a softish start, stiffer tests lay ahead.

You can only beat what's in front of you.

Stoke were unbeaten before today and had played the likes of City and Arsenal.
Newcastle were a top 5 side last season and had just beaten yourselves.
Wigan at the time were the form PL team.

We'll probably come unstuck on Saturday but god forbid we actually win people that have written us off will begin to panic and it will most likely be back to back defeats for Arsenal where all this Steve Bould hype and title contention nonsense comes to an end :)

You wrote yourself off.

You wrote yourself off.

The first bit was sarcasm. Directed at Mighty Thor's comments. I'm surprised by it though. I'd have thought virtually all Spurs fans would be rooting for us on Saturday hence wanting us in good form ahead of the game.

Getting back on topic though some big games tomorrow including your own. I'm looking forward to it. You'd have to fancy all home teams to win bar Liverpool

Arsenal v Chelsea's win/win but yeah, I'd rather Arsenal lost.

I think Liverpool will draw but I'd say they're more likely to win than United.

I've gone for 2-1 United, Gerrard FS. 140/1.

Just need Suarez to pull off a dive, Gerrard to convert the pen then the ball is rolling.

I'm less sure about this game than any other, although I think 2 losses this early on is potentially damaging for United. They really were fortunate to win at St Mary's and were outplayed at Goodison. I'm sure there are at least 5 more losses left in them.

Given that you're ignoring the ton of wrongly given goals to your side in the last couple of seasons and can't remember that it was 4-4, not 4-3, I'm going to suggest that you're wrong.

Having seen your highlights on MOTD, I'd also suggest that Pulis was right to highlight your diving and an incredibly poor tackle by Luiz.
How he stayed on the pitch is beyond me, frankly.

District,Stoke were unbeaten but had only drawn each match and not won. It was a handball "Goal" against City,a match they should have lost 0-1. It was a lucky draw against a top side but a soon as they meet you lucky Stoke turn into unlucky Stoke. For the first time ever I hope Arsenal stuff you. I do not recognize you as a skillful team and in a completely false position I see you.

Exactly. All Chelsea fans "conveniently" forget the outrageous decisions that have been given against us in at least 2 games at their place.
They were very fortunate to win yesterday. Stoke will still be scratching their heads wondering how they lost.
If that's not a red card, then WTF is?? Disgraceful challenge, no attempt to get the ball, and could very easily have broken the Stoke players' leg!
