According to this article the rival deal would make £25 million immediately available to McCoist to invest in the team. The big drawback would be that it doesn't clear the debt with Lloyds. We would continue to pay back the debt in instalments (assuming Lloyds accepted the deal).

While we desperately need to strengthen the squad and the £25 million is very tempting, the Lloyds debt has been a real monkey on our backs for the last few seasons. Given all that is publicly known about the 2 bids at the moment, I think I'd rather we went with the Whyte bid and cleared our debt.

Again, we don't know the full story.

Whyte expected the deal to go through on Monday, why has the other director not came up with this plan in the first place?

Why wait until this late stage of the day to let your feelings known?

A bit of Cat and Mouse one suspects...

Gets my vote for the funniest ever post on a football forum.

Where did you see this? Provide a link or it's just more of your lies.

I watched Lee McCulloch on STV say yesterday that he wanted to stay at Rangers (though that's not possible considering no one knows what the new company - ergo the new football team - will be called) and whatever division they are playing in they would try and win the league.

I also read that with the team and manager they have they believe they are capable of winning the league. I suppose that may be true of the 3rd division but what's the chances of the team staying together? They would also stand a better chance with a new manager.

I don't have any links but do I come across as someone that would make all this up?
