So Bruce hung him out to dry at the weekend and we've been linked with offloading him to Bournemouth.
Di you think he has a future under Bruce?
    Even if we went down?

Hopefully when we drop, Bruce will get sacked and we get a decent manager in. I'd hope that he would then see Ritchie for what he is worth.

I like Ritchie. He was a key player in our last Championship season and will be very important to any remote chances we have of bouncing back again at the first attempt.

This reminds of one of the early games last season when Willems came on, mis-understood the instructions given and played for a few mins on the right of a three man mid-field.

I don't think Richie was fully to blame, but similarly Bruce didn't hang him out to dry as such, more stating that the instructions weren't passed across to the relevant players quick enough. Although if we were in possesion as it was our free kick, Shelvey has to take some resposibility as he took it before we were set up. We would have been better throwing Richie on at RB, then modifying positions and structure at the next break in play.

    Or not putting Ritchie on.

As Chaos and others have said, Bruce is far too worried about looking like he's pulled off a masterstroke than protecting the club.

He is a decent championship level player at best.

We are going to need him now with the injuries. On the pitch and in the dressing room. It will be character rather than quality that keeps us up.
