On a day when we are all a bit down how about a cheer up line taken from a regular HR newsletter I receive: -

‘Teacher unfairly sacked because she pruned a bush without risk checks’,

While sacking her might have been a little unfair I imagine extreme caution must be the order of the day. However, if a risk assessment was needed would she do it herself of have to get someone else to do a close examination of the area in question?

Volunteers please line up in an orderly manner!!!

    Unfortunately no pictures were supplied.

Any other Health and Safety or Risk Assessment gems out there?

I always think an unkemp bush is a fire hazard. One spark and up it goes. For me this should have been smoothed over.

If she was taking liberties by pruning someone else's bush I'm not surprised she got sacked!

That's correct Bobby - thank you for the name check. The slightest chance, and up I go. <ok>

Did you hear about Pierre the Pilot?

He was about to do a bit of tongue exploration but before doing so he threw some lighter fluid (no that's not a euphemism like gentleman's sauce, I really do mean lighter fluid) on the area in question and then set light to it.

When the young lady screamed in pain and asked him what he was doing, he replied: -

"I am Pierre the Pilot and when I go down, I go down in flames!!"

    Boom, boom!!!

Who was filming in Swansea? I wonder if they saw the one armed driver?

He didn't really only have one arm. It was actually Phyllis - he had the other stuck the jack mods working them.
