Just heard the sad news that a 'legend' has sadly passed away. The word legend is often used, but for Bert Trautmann it was very much applicable. Have only seen videos of him play, but my old dad said if players were more like him, then football would better for it. I saw a documentary on him a while back, and his was truly an amazing story, not least for playing on with a broken neck. RIP Bert Trautmann
His really was an amazing story Minxy. I haven't googled him, so I don't know how much of his personal life is on there as opposed to his professional life. It might be worth a look on youtube to see if the documentary about him is on there. Certainly worth watching if it is.
