In the scheme of things it wasn't very important. But it was a symbol of the crass ineptitude of Katrien Meire and what she thought would bring fans to the Valley. I've heard some horror stories of how some of our fans were given a going over by our stewards. But what a sight that was seeing the sofa being torn to shreds. Along with the LIAR sign, a fine afternoons work.
It's been a rubbish season. But the fans stole a small victory at the end. And the message is a good one.

You're right Ken... it may be an inanimate object, just an innocent sofa. However, its destruction is symbolic.

Anything associated with the regime is fair game and must be removed...!!

It represented everything that was wrong with the club. Just looking at it annoyed fans.

    RIP

    Well said Ken <applause>

Sources close to Royston were among those involved in the tug-of-war with the Old Bill at full time, which resulted in the fan's sofa being carried onto the pitch and ripped to bits. Sources close to Royston managed to Tweet some photos of the events.

They'll get a replica and put it there. Or they'll bring out the white sofa. I swear they changed the colour half way through the season

It was definitely white at one point. I'll wipe my ****ty arse on it, if it turns up.

Due to paltry crowds it'll be replaced by a chaise lounge.
