Haven't read all of them, but a fair few (pyramids is my favourite). Some are funnier than others but all good fun.

He wrote 70 books in his career.

I think that's what you heard.

Not read him, either - but thought he did good interviews.

He's not dead, he's just avoiding the rush at the end.

RIP to one of my favorite authors.

Aged 66! Never read any books personally, always got told to though, but sad to see at the turn of the Century, he was the second most read author behind JK Rowling, I read part of one of those books,<doh> bloody awful, overrated crap IMO,

Isn't one of his book about a flat world balanced on 4 elephants backs, who are in turn balanced on the back of giant turtle?

RIP Tel but I think I'll be giving your books a miss.

Erm they all are. Well not all but the majority are, that is Discworld.

His books had a funny satirical slant on the real world in them, and are genuinely very funny.

    Ook.

    RIP Sir Terry Pratchett.

Iv'e read every Discworld novel he wrote, and a few others. For anyone who may have been put off,by the fact those books were described as comedy/fantasy, i can assure you they are far more than that.

They were deeply entwined with an incredible insight,in social commentary while at the same time, funny as **** !

The world is a lesser place.

At least we know how his story ended...

ERM SIR TERRY, MAY I HAVE A WORD ?

    RIP !
Had no idea what he wrote ,i just knew he was a big author .
I always avoided fantasy/sci-fi and prefered factual science books lol
Thing is ,i thought he wrote an adventure game for the Speccy or summat and LOTR .

I never read any of his books but I know he battled against a rare form of early onset Alzheimers for several years. I have just read a tweet/epitaph that he would probably have been happy to have written himself:

"Terry took Death’s arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night."

    RIP

Not my favourite author but I enjoyed some of his radio plays. Can only applaud the dignified way he campaigned to raise awareness of the condition that caused his death.

    RIP Sir Terry.

Some quotes by terry Pritchett !!!
"The pen is mightier than the sword, if the sword is small and the pen is very sharp"
"They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, not half as bad as a lot of ignorance "
" only in dreams are we free, the rest of the time we need wages"
"It is often said before you die your life passes before your eyes,
It is in fact true, it's called living"
    And my favourite
"taxation is just another sophisticated way to demand money with menaces"
