Sinndar was always a slight concern for me, as I felt he would be outclassed by Montjeu when they met but he handed the older horse his ass on a silver salver and cemented himself as a class act.

When the Racing Post Ten To Follow finished that season I had two of my ten who scored no points. Working it out later I realised that had I put Sinndar in instead of one of them and had ANY other horse who scored some points, I would have won that Ten To Follow competition. One of my non scorers was Henry Cecil's Oaks winner Ramruma, who just never seemed to train on at 4YO.

I was on Beat Hollow ante-post in Sinndar's Derby but my late Mother In Law was on the Oxx horse because she followed pretty much anything owned by the Aga Khan.

To be honest, I don't think they were strong Derbies he won and the Arc was weak other than Montjeu, so in that respect he was in the right place at the right time s0 to speak but did the business when he had to and his name is synonymous with success.

He'll live on with me purely because I regretted having left him out of my Ten To Follow and he scored a squillion points that season.

Not so hot as a stallion and a bit sad to see his fee in 2017 at a lowly 3,500 Euros.

That's why he was on our list of 3. Well one of the reasons (the pedigree seemed to match up quite well at that price). He did of course produce the 3 times Arc 2nd Youmzain; and Shareta, who I saw finishing second to Danedream in the Arc, Shawanda who won the Irish Oaks. He has had 2 classic winners from his daughters. So he didn't do too badly.
