seen Quo a quite few times over the years, first one in 1976 at the City Hall getting Down Down RIP Rick
I saw them at the City Hall in '79. I was upstairs at the front of the balcony when it was The Thing for Quo fans to try to make the balconies move. It felt really, really unsettling at the time. The next time was, perhaps, in '81 when I saw them at their farewell gig at Selhurst Park. Quo were brilliant (as ever live) and the other highlight was Phil Lynott's new band getting pelted off stage with fried chickens. Since that farewell gig I have seen them about a dozen times or so in the fifteen to twenty years after. And I am still stick kicking myself for missing their pop-up acoustic gig in the pub opposite my flat in Hove Actually. Parfitt was a great rhythmn guitarist. Did one thing and did it well.
I know this is for Rick but news just coming in that George Michael has died aged 53 bloody hell what a year
