    Pavel Srnicek has sadly passed away. The former Newcastle United goalkeeper died at the age of 47, nine days after suffering a cardiac arrest.

    I really rated him when I was a kid growing up during the mid 1990's, when watching games on TV and highlights on match of the day.

    I liked him when he was at Portsmouth. Really sad, especially as he's the second PL goalkeeper to pass away recently after Marton Fulop.

    Like many I only saw him on match of the day, his quality shone through. RIP Pavel
