Truly gutted, had nothing but admiration for the great man, 27 years hard labour for fighting for his freedom within his own country.

    Rest In Peace Nelson Mandela.<rose>

Good innings indeed. He left a great global legacy which is more than what most people can ever achieve.

Few people have as great a positive impact on the world, in a political sense.

Sad news but what a total dude :emoticon-0103-cool:

If only more of our "leaders" were men of wisdom and character like Mandela the world would be a better place.

    9) "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."

    10) "For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others."

    11) "Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies."

    12) "Lead from the back — and let others believe they are in front."

    13) "Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again."

    14) "I hate race discrimination most intensely and in all its manifestations. I have fought it all during my life; I fight it now, and will do so until the end of my days."

Mandela was a great man and may he rest in peace. Its funny the way some people were calling him a murderer and terrorist in the 80s, some of them even called for him to be hung and today they are saying what a great man he was. Two faced ****s.

You're right, Thatcher stood by the racist Afrikaans and apartheid yet her spawn are crying crocodile tears today.
