So sad but what a true inspiration and such an incredible legacy he leaves behind - will never be forgotten.
Genuinely gutted by this news. What a wonderful legacy that Rob Burrow has left behind. Deepest condolences to his wife and kids and his fundraising partner and MND profile raising friend Kevin Sinfield. A terrible disease.
A bloke I didn’t know, playing for a team I don’t care about, in a sport I have no interest in .. and I’m in tears because he’s died … I hope his family know what he meant to so many people
Unbelievably sad news. I remember him ripping my RL team (HKR) a new one but I left the game amazed at how he managed against players so much bigger than himself. I'm not easily moved to emotion, but I must admit I shed a tear when 'Sir' Kev Sinfield carried Rob across the line after one of the fundraising runs. When I read his autobiography on holiday, I was so moved that I had to put the book down after the introduction and first chapter and have a moment. Along with Kevin Sinfield, Rob Burrow took his warrior like brave spirit on the field of play into selflessly trying to raise money to fight MND for the sake of others. My thoughts are with his wife Lindsay and his children... and also his lifelong friend Kevin Sinfield. RIP Rob Burrow.
RIP Rob Burrow. Despite the terrible situation he found himself in, he and his family and friends have managed to do wonders in making the rest of us aware of this tragedy of an illness. He will be remembered fondly by a great number of people. Tremendous individual human being.
RIP Rob Burrow, condolences to his family and his many friends. He had the heart of a lion on the pitch and in life itself, bravery personified.
Some really heartfelt tributes on here, warms the heart to read them - well done gents. RIP Rob Burrow.
Colin Gibb, who had huge success as a core member of novelty pop band Black Lace, has died aged 70. His wife Sue Kelly announced the news on Facebook, writing: “I love you Colin … we were due to retire to Spain on Thursday, you were so happy, so looking forward to our new life, now you’re gone. As we used to say, always love you forever.” His bandmate Dene Michael said on X: “So sad to announce the passing of my singing partner in Black Lace Colin Gibb. Rest in peace my friend God bless you.”
RIP Rob, really sad news to hear his fight finally came to an end after a brave battle, deepest condolences to his family. Took over the mantle of highlighting this awful disease from another legend Doddy Weir, between them and Kevin Sinfield they have done so much to highlight this awful disease and put it firmly on the agenda to fund research into a possible cure.
Me, my missus and my eldest were all in bits watching the full programme earlier. Truly humbled. I’m sure he’d have appreciated the irony if I described him as a giant of a man in every way that matters. RIP
A sport I don’t follow, but can’t help feeling touched by the many tributes to Rob Burrow, including his last recording for the BBC. “My final message to you is whatever your personal battle be brave and face it. "Every single day is precious. "Don’t waste a moment. "In a world full of adversity we must still dare to dream. "Rob Burrow, over and out." What a man. Small in build, but huge in bravery & courageous. Legend. RIP Rob Burrow.

Tony Bramwell has sadly passed away at the age of 78. I doubt many will have heard of him, but he was a very significant member of team behind The Beatles. A mate of George Harrison's, he was brought from Liverpool to London by Epstein and initially worked a roadie, before becoming their road manager, then producing videos and various positions within Apple Corp for many years.
