Grow up?? I write a thread in memory of a former England legend thats died and you come on and speak shyte about him?
Feck off and die you stupid disrespectful auld kunt. When you die nobody will bat an eye lid i bet

I repeat "Grow up clown"

Given that you, probably, never saw him play or watched any of the teams he managed I think I'm far more entitled to pass comment on those parts of his life than you are.

Clown!!

It goes to show how much of a kunt you are when you come on a thread like this and talk negative about someone thats just died. I bet you wish you could have achieved 10% of what he did in your sad life

I remember a family day in Seahouses about 15 years ago when I heard that Northumbrian accent coming up the road behind us and I immediately knew who it was. I told my son, also called Jack who was about 10 at the time, that the bloke coming past us won the world cup and his eyes were like saucers with 20 questions to follow.
Nice memories, RIP Jack.

He epitomised the approach of his mentor (Revie) which was a win art all costs mentality (it made no difference if it was within, or outside, of the rules/laws of the game).

He would have been perfect for us in our current situation!!
My Grandad was a centre half in Charlton's mould, or Jackie was made from my Grandad's mould.

He won a championship medal in the South Tyneside Senior League (I've still got it) and he reminded me more than once that sometimes the ball got past him . . . . but the man never did :emoticon-0148-yes:

Sometimes you need players like them, who are just as valuable as the likes of Geoff Hurst who got the glory, and they deserve equal respect :emoticon-0105-wink:

Said himself when asked the difference between him and their Bobby. He said Bobby could play and was a creative player. He said he couldn't play and his job was to stop creative players like their Bobby and luckily for himself there is a demand for both sorts of players in the game. Was no dirtier than say Ron Harris or Norman Hunter.

I never had a problem with 'hard' players (Smith, Harris, McNab etc) unlike the dirty cowards (Collins, Giles etc).

What used to bug me about Charlton was the way he'd push the laws as much as he could (****housery). One example would be the way he blocked goalkeepers at corners - there was no need for it. It was obstruction, clear as day, but he was allowed to get away with it!
