RIP Cruyff

My first international football idol.

Was gutted when he pulled out of 78 World Cup.

RIP

 

Very sad. A truly great player, in a national team who played the "beautiful game" .
His real legacy IMHO is in the Barca academy, and the fruits of that production line.

I remember watching that live. He just left the full back for dead. I'd never seen anything like it and had trouble interpretating exactly how he'd done it!..

All kidding apart I was very lucky.

Saw Best (and Moore) play for Fulham against Chelsea as well.

And Maradona at Wembley too. All in my primary school years

 

I was lucky enough to see Greavsie play for Spurs when he was still at Chelsea, and I wasn't even born, then.
