Very sad news. The author of my two "Desert Island" books alongside the Bible and Shakespeare. (Ironically, I am now stranded on a tropical island without them and have reason to regret that fact at least twice a week). Rest in peace, Colin, you have given much pleasure to tens of thousands.
Often in the press area after games, he also used to sit in front of me when I was using my season ticket. Nice guy, true Charlton fan. The loss of his presence will be felt.
Very sad news. Colin was very accessible and loved to chat to fans next to the shop before every home game. Great guy, Charlton legend I'm sure the club will recognise his place in our history.
Could someone please refresh my memory- I seem to remember Colin Cameron being made persona non grata at Charlton for a time during the Gliksten era, for asking too many probing questions about the clubs finances. Can anyone remember this?
