One of the famous 'G' men, really did put his head where others used the boot, great memories from my teenage days. One of The Ashton Gate 8, a true City boy. RIP Chris Garland, thoughts and sympathy with family and friends.
Oh no, such sad news. I can see now his blond locks doing everything for City. Chris had so much natural ability, a truly gifted player.
I will always remember Chris for his “headed”goal against “the blue few”. I pi$$ed myself . Thanks for the memories

Sad sad news Chris was from a different era when players didn’t throw themselves around to try and cheat Coming back and saving us from relegation from the old First Division with his goals against the likes of Liverpool was probably his greatest achievement in a City shirt RIP Chris and thank you Gutted
very very sad day, if any of us were to name the true city greats his name would be right up there,he was one of the new generation of players who had a freshness about them and who seemed to play with a new freedom and vitality that younger fans especially could relate to, rip mate,
I met him a few times back in the day, used to call in a cafe in North Street.. Nice guy and one of City's legends.. RIP
An iconic Bristol City player from our past has left us heartbroken by the news of his death. Garland was my favourite player during the days when football mattered more than it does today and his part in the survival at Ashton Gate will remain legendary for eternity. R.I.P. Chris and my thoughts go out to all of his family on this very sad day.
