Just announced on Autosport http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/112034 Formula 1 engine builder Brian Hart has died at the age of 77. Probably one of the last true private engine builders in F1 and whos engines powered the first F1 car raced by Ayrton Senna. His best engine was probably the V10 that powered Jordan in 1994, a shame he never got proper funding to develop it with a bigger team. If you ever get the chance, pick up a copy of The Toleman Story as this charts his struggles with the Toleman team to make his engines competitive back in the 80's. Is a great read.
He had a good innings, enjoyed his life, it's just a shame he never got to show what he could do if given the funds.
