Shocked to hear of the passing of David Bowie. He was a colossus in the music industry.

I have had the pleasure of being a fan since the very early days and have been lucky to have seen him live many times and was hoping that he would make one last tour but sadly it's not to be. What a genius he was.
If the V&A bring back the David Bowie IS exhibition then I highly recommend it to all music fans as its brilliant.

    RIP Bowie - the Starman

Bowie was an absolute legend and still is. Awesome performer and I was fortunate to have seen him live in concert. The man was 30 years ahead of his time and music lovers everywhere will never forget him. RIP David Bowie. <rose>

Just seen a clip of his latest video, shot in a hospital bed to reflect the period of illness he was going through. Genuinely choked up watching that and I'm not usually easily moved. What a legend.

listen to Lazarus as it opens with the lyrics: "Look up here, I'm in Heaven!"

Its video features Bowie in a hospital bed, and finishes with him retreating in to a dark closet.

Tony Visconti has spoken of creating the album, which was recorded in just three sessions over the course of three months at the beginning of 2015.

It now appears the singer and those closest to him arranged its release at the end of his life, after 18 months of living with cancer.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/cel...ift-for-fans-in-carefully-planned-finale.html

Tony Visconti said "His death was no different from his life - a work of Art. He made Blackstar for us, his parting gift. I knew for a year this was the way it would be".

his parting gift is his music <rose>
