I don’t know if he would have agreed or not but for me his best ever series was against the Aussies in 1981. He, Botham and Brearley in particular were absolutely amazing in that series. Thanks for the memories Bob RIP.
That Headingly test will stick in my memory for ever. Was doing my Masters at Newcastle and we were listening on the radio while in the lab. Just seemed inevitable we would win that. RIP.
