I just heard of the passing away of Danny Canning Danny was City goalkeeper throughout the 46/47 Championship winning team. My father spoke very highly of his goalkeeping in the team that won Division 3 by a record number of points. RIP Danny.
Sad when any ex City player passes away, and condolences to all concerned but to be honest never knew much about him. The first City keeper I can vaguely recollect was Graham Vearncombe back in the early 60's when the old wooden benches in the Canton Stand with my dad was a luxury day out. Anway, RIP Danny.
