She was a battler in life and in the world of soaps and won the hearts of many. RIP a great actress and an enduring character. No age, tragic.
Very sad news, I never watch corrie but thousands do and she will be missed by many. She was also a fellow lympho- maniac
Deirdrie was from the time that I thought soaps were worth watching, Corpnation St of Ena, Elsie, Hilda, Eastenders of Angie and Des and my fave, Brookside until that went down the pan. The former Mrs Langdon, Barlow (twice) and Rachid also had a fling with Mike Baldwin which was a storyline that ran and ran and as I say it was a time when soaps, whilst maybe not believable were at least watchable. I don't bother with any of them now as all credibillity in their storylines has disappeared in the quest for sensationalism. RIP Deirdrie you can now rejoin the old cast of Mrs Walker, Vera and Jack, and the rest.
I'll say RIP although I have no idea who she was....Never seen a single episode of any of these silly soap operas but reading the threads if she managed the sale role for 40 years that's some achievement
