Rio Ferdinand's people have said that it's disrespectful to leave him out as he has over 80 caps, using the the same logic surley David Beckham and Peter Shilton should be furious but i suspect they have more class...

Oh and having a picture holding a piece of paper which reads 'Woy' do i look bovered' is respectful is it.

Martin Kelly is a young player whom i hope takes his chance.....

Big decision from Roy, one that I firmly believe to be the correct one. Even Sir Alex has said that he doesn't fell Rio has the ability to play so many matches in quick succession and if we are completely honest he isn't the player he used to be and there are better centre halves available to select (even with a few of them being injured)

Why do so many fans think its a good idea to go with a 33 year old instead of a young hungry player.

Bit harsh. He deserves to be in that squad and Terry left at home. He has said he's backing the boys and of course he is. I doubt he'll be in the Team GB squad because Becks will be and the three over-23s berths will probably be split between the nations. I'd love to see Giggsy in there and Charlie Adam <ok>

We have a squad that has had injury worries, so the last thing we want is a player who can only play 1 match every 4 months due to being a crock! time for a fresh start, i perhaps would have taken micah richards, but apparently he threw a strop because he didn't want to be on the stand by list!

Surely if it was for 'political' reasons it would be Rio in Terry out. Afterall it was Terry who is having to prove his innocence, not Ferdinand. To be honest I dont really rate either of them.
Terry is just a low life, even my chelsea supporting mate has said if he wasnt a footballer he would be a villian.
Its a shame that 99% of english, premier league players are either arseholes or brain dead. In mainland Europe, footballers in the majority feel that they have to live as athletes and have a fairly priviledged life, which they work hard for. Here they all turn into total tossers or cant put a sentence together.

Whatever the reasons a player should respect a managers decision i think Rio let himself down, just because he has over 80 caps does not mean he has a divine right to be there......
