Sorry, a bit of a pointless thread but I just had to share this with you all. So I live in a little town in the Reading suburbs and in the center of this town is a shopping precinct. I just happen to live in one of the flats above one of the shops in said precinct. Anyway getting to the point of this thread, I just popped down to do a little shopping and while walking past our local book shop I noticed lots of Rio Ferdinand posters in the window. I stopped to have a little gander and these posters were advertising the fact that he will be there doing book signings of his new autobiography. I may not be able to attend due to work commitments but if I can then if anyone here has a question you'd like me to ask him then please post on this thread. This should be fun, over to you guys and gals....
I will get the ball rolling with my question. Rio, What is the squared root of 1,000,000? A. 1053 B. 1032 C 1000 D 1019
I wonder if Anton will be joining him for the book signing? I note he was also on the bench for Reading's 2-1 victory at Norwich yesterday, where he made an 89th min appearance.
Rio, which team do you play for? A) Glory, glory Man United. B) None - you retired in the Summer. C) Another team (not sure which one though).
Thanks, some good suggestions there. I'm with QPR Oslo about the training. If I can make it I will be wearing my QPR scarf and will ask this "Rio, my team are paying you £40k plus a week, so why are you not at the training ground earning it?"
Lol, I don't have the balls to do it in all honesty. I'm not a Rio hater, this thread was just meant as a bit of banter. Even tho this is happening right in my back yard so to speak I will most likely be at work still. I will try to make it, I don't plan to buy his book, most my £$£ is earmarked for Christmas and beer shopping anyway!
On the shelf, or shelf life has expired?
How about.................. Hi Rio. You're a QPR player and have been an absolutely brilliant player throughout your career. FFS...........give him a break!
Fair play to that Col and no argument from me mate. Again I'm not a Rio hater, this thread is just another one of my lame attempts at banter.
COL, I know you love the lad and respect for that but its irrelevant what he's done in the past when he's been piss poor with us. Signing books and giving speeches throughout the week when he's a paid player of QPR? Sorry mate, its just not up to the Club's standards IMO
Yes, he certainly had an exceptional career - It is unfortunate that we pinned our hopes on him this season and ended up paying for his last hurrah.
Hey, that's kind of why I did the thread. Knowing what some posters think about Rio I was expecting some funny reply's. Going full circle I would never diss any football player while he is a QPR squad member. I would never do that personally and what good would it do anyway.
