That wouldn't be a massively disappointing window assuming noone leaves.

I'm expecting a young Rightback in as there are reports we've agreed to sell Tavernier & Vuckic to Rotherham and that would leave us with no natural right backs in reserve. At least not as far as I'm aware.

Sebastian corchia from sochoux is on our list I'm sure of it. Young, talented, cheap and just got relegated so hell be cheap. Cheap being key here

Saw this that tickled me on Newcastle news now......

Let’s keep ben arfa. Sign taarabt, Douglas, ravel morrison, joey Barton and cattermole. Then put them all in a small room with no food or water. The man who survives gets fed to tiote to empower him.

Didn't the mackems play Colbeck there for a while?..OK he isn't ..natural cover ..more a perch type cover there, so agree we need an understudy for Debuchy ( if he is still here in Sept, if not we need a replacement 1st team-er too)

Can't say I am that thrilled with the idea of Gomis arriving ..seems to be exactly the personality type that i thought we were trying to avoid.. Mercenary / Gaggle of agents all after their cut etc etc.

Plus not convinced (although that is based on seeing very little of him) that he is what we need.

Reports last night were that AC Milan were offering Niang and Constant for Santon. Young striker with potential sell on value, and a utility player. Are they any worse than Santon? Wouldn't be unhappy if it happened, Niang was the next big thing a year ago. Doesn't mean he hasn't got the touch of the Nile Ranger about him, but worth a punt?

I watched Constant this season and he makes Davide Santon look like a world beater. Their fans were not impressed. Niang struggled badly there and ended at Montpellier funnily enough. Talented boy but he does seem to attract bother. Not keen on Constant but Niang could be a useful option. However would it not be easier to look closer to home and know what we are getting? Of course it would but we rarely do that.

Completely agree. There's one source worth trusting - Press Association.
