A man paralysed from the neck down has lost his High Court case to allow doctors to end his life without fear of prosecution.

Tony Nicklinson, 58, from Melksham, Wiltshire, communicates by blinking and has described his life as a "living nightmare" since a stroke in 2005.

Mr Nicklinson said he would appeal against the decision.

It's easy for me to say but I don't think I would ever want to die.

Should someone be able to end their life if they are of sound mind?

Forget about the chap in the story Psycho. What about a guy who just couldn't be bothered anymore? A girl up to her eyeballs in debt?

You want to forget about the man in the story already? Jeezo. Have a heart, the poor guy's not dying.

Still a "yes" from me, though, with regards to your other examples.

If someone wants to die, it's their right to. Their life belongs to them, they can do whatever the **** they want with it as long as it doesn't negatively affect other people.

You're only against abortion/suicide/... because of your pathetic ****ty religious upbringing.

I'm not religious. I don't believe in God. Neither my Mother or Father are religious. I'm against suicide because of the effect on other people. I believe the chap in the article should be allowed to end his life as he has the support of his family.
