We are all speculating about the new manager. Honestly though do you think that SOD would be the answer?
I remember Bobby Gould coming to our rescue years ago. I remember Junior Agogo somehow finding some football skills after Russell Osman gave him a around the shoulder hug word in the ear.
Gerry Francis first time out' spent a few of his own quid on Holly.
Yes SOD likes teams to play football, but do you think that our current crop could do that.
Buckle has screwed us by chucking the baby out of the bathwater.
The few good players we had have gone. we have now a small nucleus for a new manager to work with.
So I do not want a pretty playing manager, I want a blood and guts kind of person. Not a Knob like Graydon or Atkins. Someone with a genuine football brain.
If Napolean fits the bill I will support the little short arse. If Dewie frightens them into playing I would give him a go. But please I do not want some basterd telling me each week that "Yes we lost but we played better than the other team".
I want us to be dirty and winners.

In the match at the Millenium, the Gas played the better football by far. Had it not been for two horrendous gaffs in the Gas early defence, we would have probably won. SODs record is pretty average in terms of games won and lost.
I just posted this on amother thread, but it fits better here.

i would prefer SOD over reid. reid is past it now. not done anything in years. SOD on the other hand done wonders for donny getting them up the leagues on a small budget. he knows these leagues. thats better experience than reid at this level. just my opinion though. SOD would be a keeper. i could see reid just sticking it out until end of the season after keeping us up sending down plymouth lol. we will have more stability with SOD than reid.

however i think it will be GJ or iain dowie who is now favourite <yikes>

Typical Mr Lan_Lodger. Apart from the grammer; I mean, a capital H on the end of your thread, you even put his name in lower case. Plus the extended sentence should have three full stops not two. Tut tut. As I have written previously, it can be anyone as long as we get out of this debacle.
