Notice how Chelsea get away with the reds while we get them nearly every time ?, well fixed it is for the top 4 teams, but we are down there (SAFC) and they don't give a toss, there Is a conspiracy to send us down by the refs, and it will all come to head next summer.
Not even going to complain. Dean is crap but everyone already knows that. Just have to play the game.
No one except utd fans has ever tried to claim the big boys dont get more decisions but there's no conspiracy specifically against sunderland...
Mike Dean has always been a **** when it comes to officiating Arsenal games. I thought the pen decision was a blatant, and he had a great view of it. Can only conclude that he's a **** really.
I think it says it all that as soon as I saw Dean was the ref beforehand I knew there would be **** ups, sad state of refereeing at the moment.
Serious question, but is there actually a good PL referee? I've racked my brains, but i can't think of one.
I think Howard Webb, not that he's amazing, but he doesn't **** up I believe as many others. But no doubt, Mike Dean is one of the worst out there.
Webb is only poor if United are involved but otherwise he's the best. IMo the lesser talked ones are usually the better ones.
What pisses us off is that OK Brown's tackle was not not good but a red?..Chavski's tackle on Arteta was worse and only a yellow..I know we are not playing well but the refs are stuffing us at every opportunity. When we played you earlier in the season, either Altidore's goal should have stood or the Gooner should have received a red.
You haven't had him against Man Utd? I think he has their shirt on under the ref's outfit. We have him at OT on New Year's day. Already written off 3 points.
IMO other than United games, Webb is a good referee. If United are involved, even if indirectly, then he turns biased I don't buy into the whole rigged refs but the EPL defo has some incompetent ****s posing as referees
I'd check the number of reds Arsenal have received over the years before making comments like the top 4 get preferential treatment, and I assume you include us in that. For what it's worth I didn't think it was a red, I didn't even think it was a foul, 2 players both going for the ball, I thought Neville summed it up fairly well on Sky. Tackling is still a skill, let's not take that element away from the game....
I thought they both went for the ball, but the ref would not have given a thought about sending one of our players off because it is rigged. I mean the likes of Rooney and Gerard could put in three bad tackles and get away with it, but Brown and Cattermole are on the refs radar. Notice how long the ref took to decide last night then take note how fast when our players get booked/sent off. And Arsenal play excellent attacking football and don't have time to tackle much !.
Having been seen as a "little club" and now a pseudo "big club" I can definitely tell the difference in how we are referreed. We are now given free reign to be very cynical whenever we like whereas we couldn't fart without getting carded for it a few years ago Mike Dean seems to like City,he's my preferred ref, especially against the London sides he seems to loathe
You say that whenever a referee that you don't like referees a game. Then if he has a bad game, you say you knew it. When he has a good game ... we don't hear about it.
Generally this sort of thing is true. But Mike Dean has an appalling record when officiating our games.
Definitely a yellow - the rules state that "...any lunge into a player is to be considered reckless and sanctioned with a yellow card." Neville's argument on Sky was nonsensical. Doesn't matter what Arteta was doing, doesn't give him freedom to break his legs. Whether it was red or not depends on the force used (according to the rules). If you think Mikel was using sufficient force to cause serious injury and it "far exceeded" the amount of force necessary, completely disregarding Arteta's safety, then it should be red.
Actually I never say that, and the fact is, when I saw his name I told myself just wait for his **** ups, and lo and behold, he was a **** up.
I've had a theory for a few years that the refs get together before the season starts to decide who they want to win and maybe even the top 3 and then ref all games during the season to make sure they win. If I win the lottery I will spend one season making a video of all refs decisions that are wrong and I bet it will prove this theory.
