The Telegraph are running a story today that McCormack could leave if his £12m release clause is activated, with Norwich and Aston Villa apparently interested. Well we know the problem both have had in the Premiership this season was the lack of a goalscorer (thank you Mr Shearer), but why would Ross move to another Championship club (sorry Norwich!)? The obvious answer is his rather zealous Agent. So time will tell.

The better part of the article though is about Mike Rigg. We know Mr Khan is in Town and they say that the Cub are conducting an extensive investigation into the season and Rigg’s position could be under threat.

"Fulham’s chief football officer, Mike Rigg, is also facing an uncertain future, ahead of a review into the club's season. Rigg has overseen a nightmare campaign in which Fulham finished the season in 20th place, 11 points above the relegation zone.

The former Football Association's head of talent management was appointed in March last year but has overseen a £7 million summer spending spree which has yielded little improvement on the field.

Rigg was also criticised over Fulham's 49-day search for a new manager after the dismissal of Kit Symons, eventually appointing Slavisa Jokanovic despite talks with Nigel Pearson, Steve Clarke and Gary Rowett."

His performance review will be an interesting meeting. He'll say the FFP ban didn't help him but the manager fiasco should be the nail in the coffin. Sorry Mike, epic fail from the East Grinstead branch .

The Rigg statement looks interesting if true, as for Mc C I think he will leave us before
    the new season starts.

Good to see McGredy Cnut being as loyal as ever.
Never has so little talent been oversold so many times.

We don't care about your bitter and twisted thoughts on McCormack.
Most people will agree that he has been our most consistent player this season, his goals and assists have been one of the best in the division and probably helped us survive, if other players had played to their potential like him then we wouldn't be in the state of turmoil we are at present.
McCormack signed a new contract extension with a (£12m) get out clause January, so now it is up to other clubs to pay up if they want him, or he stays and we don't need a replacement.

As for Leeds I think you have more of a problem with a nutty chairman than worrying about an ex-player who left two years ago.

Mr Rigg is really going to do a Houdini if he survives an interview that should being saying things like Why have the players you sourced for defense played so poorly under 2 managers/coaches ? Why did it take 49 days between sacking Symons and new coach if your mission was to get top 6? Why were you unable to get a proper Defensive Midfield player (Mattila?) something that should have been a priority at the beginning of the season. He really will be bullet proof!!

I refer the honorable gentlemen to post number 4.

He excelled himself this time. Sold himself to Norwich and then signed for Villa for a bigger cut of the fee and an additional £6K a week.
Never mind, you will be able to buy him back at Christmas when he agitates for another transfer.

Refer, not prefer. The latter indicates a preference, as in the sentence, 'I prefer the contents of my toilet bowl to the bitter spewings of a certain unwelcome - and, it would seem, illiterate - visitor to this board.'

Rigg has been the Achilles heel within our club for some time,he has not proved himself
with us or previous appointments , so lets part company, and who knows we may be able
to attract a better class of player

He has earned every bit of contempt I hold him in.
You are well shot of him. Hopefully the £700,000 we get as a sell on fee will be put to good use.
