Peter Ridsdale is returning to Argyle......on Wednesday August 8th.......with Preston in Plymouth's first home friendly of pre-season. So get your flags out Gat-Po and give him a good welcome back.
Oh golly gosh!!!!! That cunjours up a rather painful picture gat. I bet he gets a right royal reception. As in royal in France post revolution. Bet he thinks he's loved here though.
Here we go again..........he wasn't all bad.......recognized the mess that Stapleton and the others had got into.......and put into action a stop on the taxman gobbling PAFC up for ever.......end of subject.
Plymborn A blind & deaf person with his head in a sack in a darkened room wearing a blindfold and ear-plugs could have deduced that PAFC were in a mess. The minor detail that the contractually binding wage bill was several times larger than the club's income would have been a bit of a give-away to almost anyone who was party to that single fact, don't you think? Thereafter, you're giving Ridsdale credit for what Guilfoyle would have done anyway - it's what administrators do. I cannot believe you, who have a downer on anything capitalist, can give support to Ridsdale, who's left a trail of destruction at several football clubs in pursuit of his own interests. He really is the sort of person that gives the vast majority business people who are honest, hard working & professional a bad name.
notDistant..... Guilfoyle couldn't have changed his nappy by himself and needed fanpower to bring him into line. You cut me to the quick with your opinion that I'm anti-capitalist......my opinions have been shaped by never in my voting life having had an opportunity to make an impression by voting.........always living in a strong Tory area were MP's and Councillors have always been blue....and watching the totally onesided results of their decisions knocking back those that are not financially well off. It is no longer practical to vote Liberal to try and beat the Tory fat-cat.........Liberals have sold their souls for what they think is being able to make a difference in Government.....how sad to watch them turn belly up and do nothing when it is required.....because they think they are actually in power. Who the hell do you vote for in my area.....you can understand why some people vote BNP or a Independant British Party or anti EU. Ted Heath got us into this German dominated mess,Cameron is not man enough to take us out of it. They might of lost the war....but they have found another way to dominate Europe.
I suppose we should give the rat some credit he stood by Heaney's bid as he would have ended up with a footy club for a £1 and when that went belly up he tried to get all sorts of deviants to invest and when that failed, he then changed his allegience and proclaimed that he had wanted James Brent's bid to be successful all along .... yeah right .... looks like he will be having more than one flag placed in the orifice where the sun doesn't shine !!!
It depends which way you are looking through the binoculars as to which way you think on Ridsdale. I happen to think he did nothing but publicise the problems. He sold off the silver which anyone could have done and I'm not saying it wasn't neccessary to do that. The description Gat gives as to his involvement is my own description so I won't repeat it. Somehow, if he bothers to turn up personally, I cannot see anyone standing up to give him a cheer somehow. As for Politicians, for me they are pretty much all the same and out for their own ends and definately not ours. I am almost at the point now of refusing to vote at all because I have no time for any of the parties or individuals in them. Think it isn't something to throw at the Tories or Eddy Heath regarding Europe either. There was a Common Market and very little choice at that time other than for this Country to join. The Referendum results of an overwhelming majority in favour showed the people thought so also. They took us into a Market not a Union which has slowly developed since. How anyone could consider voting for Labour after Blair and Brown is beyond me and that isn't a flag waving exercise for the other two parties either. Milliband is a fecking joke and couldn't lead the community singing in the Albert Hall let alone a Country. No good hating the Germans either with the European dominance argument. Fact is they are more disciplined as a nation than most of the others which is why they do better. Not their fault the rest are a shambles is it.
Well said Sensible. You forgot one person though: Ed Balls, the man who nobody should ever forget helped Gordon Brown run the economy into the ground. Compared to worrying about whether Milliband Jnr has the gravitas to be PM, be a thousand times more afraid of the potential of having Ed Balls as Chancellor. We'd have the IMF in within months.
I agree that Ed Balls isn't up to the task but to be quite honest who is? It's a case of the worst of two evils, the only way to vote for me - if indeed it's worth the bother is to go to an independant party or one of the smaller, newer ones and it's no coincidence that UKIP are gaining ground if not seats. People are fed up with the same old parties, one looks after the rich and the other themselves. Time for a change if ever there was.
MPs should get proper jobs.......oh I forgot they do have other jobs (most of them) thats probably why they havn't got time to do the job properly.
