Looks like Ricky is off, anybody know what/where he is going? In the main I think he's done well for our club http://nz.sports.yahoo.com/football/news/article/-/9081130/chief-scout-sbragia-leaving-sunderland/
shoot? maybe should put up a sticky to remind eveyone at the match, that no matter who has the ball shout shoot, just to remind the lads the aim of the game
as soon to be safc new foreigh technical advisor, im gonna recommend to steve (as i will be on first name terms) that shooting is the way forward, gonna sugggest that for an hour a day the whole squad lines up and tries having some shots on goal just to let them get used to the feeling. wont put a g/k in to start with as probably wont need one, take it one step at a time, then if someone actually manages to score in an empty net may move onto a g/k but dont want to scare the lads to much to soon see my tenner was well worth it
Malcolm Crosby all over again. No doubt a decent man who has served Sunderland but Quinn's talk of a job for life a few seasons ago was a nonsense. If we have ambitions we have to move on. Good luck to him in the future.
He stepped in at a difficult time and the player responded well to him, 4-1 against Hull I believe. He kept us in the Premier League and in that, he did all that was asked of him. We owe Ricky one.
Why are some questioning Quinn and the job for life, you assume Ricky is being pushed, maybe he is off to better things.
Exactly. Ricky didn't want the manager's job in the first place and only took it as a favour to Niall - Niall admitted that on 5-Live the day Sbragia resigned. He did it well enough to see us out of the mire, and well done to him. I agree with sid, too. We can offer him a job for life but can't force him to take it. If he wants to leave now, he leaves. That's no reflection on Niall or the club. Good luck, Ricky, wherever you're going.
I remember when we were still searching for a manager, and RS was interim boss. We were winning 4-1, and the commentator giving the update for 5live/ World Service said "Do Sunderland have a manager right under their nose?" and I thought "Nooo!" cos I suspected things might go downhill the minute RS signed his new contract. Seemed like a nice guy, my fav quote from him was when Cisse had the green mohawk: "He looked like a snooker table!" haha.
