Would just like to say well done to Rickie so far. Glad to see him doing so well. Top goal scorer in their division and looks to be doing it for fun. Always knew he would do well though, and if he gets a chance in the prem, i would expect him to do well there too.

Remember when the sheeds said he would never make it in the championship? <laugh>

Well done Rickie! Now move to Newcastle so we get loads a money! <party>

Been thinking the same...the man is pure class. So he's not Usain Bolt, but his footballing brain is great.
Was a privilege to have him at Rovers, and I still look to see how he's done after every Southampton match.
I'm tempted to 'cross the great divide' on 26 November just to see the great man score a hat-trick !

Pirate, I have a feeling you wont be alone. I may pop along to watch the saints beat the turds, with a Lambo hattrick <ok>

I too keep an eye on Rickie and am really pleased for him

rumours seem to be growing that he'll join Newcastle in January

Classic centre forward, in many ways quite similar to Le Tissier and maybe a bit of Sheringham in there

I wonder if come the end of the season Capello's having a lookie

I said before last world cup that i thought he might be the answer upfront - not known a consistant 20 to 30 man since the ferdinand, shearer and fowler days . . . would find it awfully humbling if i see Sir Rickie in the three lions . . . maybe with Scott Sinclair alongside - can't imagine Capello hasn't noticed Scotts pace . . With Walcott . . wow

But then both not so hot with the shooting boots of late

Lambert and Sinclair up front for England - priceless!!
On a serious note, what does impress me with Lambert is that he scores different kinds of goals, so he's not a one trick pony. I think he will score goals in the Championship - not sure about ther Premiership, but unless someone gives players like this a chance we will never know.

82ers said he would never make it in the championship. i think he could of made it in the prem and i still do. i think he would do well for a team like newcastle, bolton, blackburn or even stoke. the way southampton is going, he will be in the prem next season with them! if he gets on well then why not for england? i mean carroll had 1 good season in the championship with newcastle and 1 good half season with newcastle but not done anything since for liverpool but he gets selected for england! so as lambert is having a good season in the championship with the saints, all he needs to do is start off well for a prem side and he may get in the euros squad lol

Imagine Lambo in the England squad....Would we make any money from that? I think we will if he gets the Saints to the Prem right?

looking good so far. he certainly has made the 82ers look stupid when they claim he wouldnt make it on the championship. he has scored more goals this season already than the whole city team has <laugh>
