Back on track, I feel Everitt is hard done by and totally misunderstood.

I genuinely do not understand why Everitt is seen as the enemy.

The information was wrong, so all of the sources, which he said were trusted, were clearly unreliable. It's unrealistic to expect that number of leaks of confidential information. As SuperC said, you would expect NDAs to have been signed.

 

We do remember that he went to the regime looking for a job. Right?

 

Just about everyone who has met him doesn’t like him. Ditto those who have worked with him.

I know that he has been a real champion over many years in putting across fans views and is an Addick through and through.
Not the most approachable person you are likely to meet I agree but he’s unquestionably a unique follower of the club and wants what’s best for it.
Of course he wants VOTV to be a success but I’ll not stand by and hear people say he’s doing all this just in order to make money.......that’s out of order.
And asking fans to boycott VOTV which has been a superb fans organ for decades is completely OTT.

 

I wouldn't worry about the boycott claim, there's only about 6 of us on this forum...

And recent evidence has proven that 5 of them are slackadder!

 

To be honest, we might as well leave it here. Some say he mislead the fans by prematurely going to bat with something he was told.

The others say he did it with the right intentions.

We know where we all stand on this individually. Not much more to say without going round in circles.

Some fairly undeserved criticism flying about here. From where I am, he published what he was being told. Even now some of the rumours are that there is a problem with the numbers, which doesn't make him wrong. Other people (Doucher and Suped) were getting other stories. It sometimes feels like people got the hump bevause their hopes were raised and now they've taken a hit. Fair enough, but no need to shoot the messenger.

 

I love a £2 coin more than Charlton.
