A sharp eyed member on ITTV spotted this on the CAFC website... It's part-way down the news article on Dillon Phillips winning Player of the Year. I promise this has not been faked - all I did was add the red underline. Either some joker at the Club has slipped this in for a laugh, or this is a back-handed insult to Roland from whoever is running things at the moment. I've never heard of 'Supporter of the Year'. Does it even really exist? If it is, who is eligible to vote for it?
Missed a trick here on this one. Super fan Seb Lewis passed away recently and this award should in our opinion gone to his brother Oliie who is equally a super fan and to our knowledge has only missed one game home and away in over a thousand. No fault of Rick’s by the way. He never got asked to receive this award
Somebody on ITTV suggested it might be a clumsy attempt by the board to get Rick and his VOTV readers onside. Not only clumsy if true, but surely futile. But if this award is not some kind of joke or middle finger to RD from someone inside the Club, I'd be fascinated to know how the 'Supporter of the Year' is chosen. And how long has this award existed? Has anybody ever heard of it before?
