    "classy playmaker"?

    More like "snarling hatchet-man"

    I love him though

Great attitude. Setting the standard for the rest of the squad. If he can prove that last season's injuries and lack of match practice hasn't negatively affected him too much I personally would welcome him back into the first team fold with open arms.

What an attitude, pity we do not have another 11 players with the same mind set.

Agree with the comments above and refereshing to see - thing is he's right - he is a very good technical player when fully fit.

In a 3-man midfield he's useful. If Drinkwater goes then we only have 3 midfielders anyway.

He needs to get into better shape. I don't think he could complete a 90 minute game and at this stage of his career he should still be ok (he's only 33).

He can be useful, but he doesn't offer enough to start games IMO.

"Wellens is preparing himself for pre-season training at the Walkers Stadium after Leicester lost out to Watford in the Championship play-off semi-finals last term."

    Is it?

backup player imo, unless Pearson sees him as the gritty DM we need for some reason.

It will be interesting to see which players havent gone to pre season testing today

We know Jermaine Beckford is in advanced talks with Bolton so I doubt he will be at training.

Neil Danns is at the training ground as he tweeted a picture of Ritchie De Laet
