Richie Wellens says Leicester City's tag as promotion favourites in the Championship will work in their favour next season. The midfielder believes that means some of City opponents could be mentally intimidated. Most bookmakers have installed City as joint favourites with West Ham to win the title and Wellens dismisses suggestions that this could spur rivals to raise their game against City. "I think it will be a bonus," he said. "Teams will be coming to our ground thinking we have a good side and, straight away, that puts them on the back foot. "Sometimes, like when Newcastle were in this league and everyone looked at their players, mentally it can set you back a bit."
