Rumours are that Nigel Pearson and Richie Wellens have had a bust up

@talkSPORTgeoff: I'd be very surprised if Richie Wellens is at the #LCFC Player of the Year awards tonight if rumours are true about a major fall out with NP

We all know Richie is as honest as they come. Ask the Ipswich fans.

... when we are bust ups with managers rumour free? ...

... as I said tensions are high ... but how many other clubs have had the dressing room rumblings and rather obvious 'persona non-grata' loan deals to the extent that we have had this season?

... do you honestly think everything is hunky-dory in our dressing room?

According to Geoff Peters. Wellens has spat his dummy out over not being in the squad and Nigel has told him to stay away from the team

... nor did I say I did necessarily ... merely that tensions are high and it wouldn't surprise me because that happens ... but I think it's fairly safe to say that Pearson does not include, Matt Mills, Neil Danns and Jermaine Beckford in his Whist circle ... so would it really surprise to find out that he'd had another senior player fall-out?

Now this is nothing more than 'my impression' but, for what it is worth - Nigel Pearson does not appear to be overly fond of more senior pros who might just have ther own opinions -even more so if they are not afraid to speak them ... yes there are a couple of exceptions perhaps... Wes being the obvious one ... but Nigel certainly seems to have a preference for younger emerging players who are far less likely to question or challenge either his team selection or tactics ... just my view.

Nigel Pearson will get senior pro's in if they have the right characteristics. In his previous spell here Chris Powell, Nobby Solano, Paul Dickov, Matt Oakley, Steve Howard, Wayne Brown, Bruno Berner all was over 30 and played key roles (Other then Dickov)

Of the current older lot only really Wes Morgan sets a good example. Neil Danns is more bothered about his twitter followers, Jermaine Beckford cant be arsed to break sweat, Matt Mills was trying to run the team by the sounds of things, Paul Konchesky was telling the City fans to **** off (Now being copied by Ben Marshall) and Sean St. Ledger put his own career before the team.

I very highly doubt any of them will go into coaching as they dont have the right attitudes to do it.

Think Wellens knows hes on his way out, with DD James and King (at least) in front of him, hes not going to be happy.

Pearson doesn't panda to the underperformers or the not good enoughs, he'll tell it like it is, makes him a better manager imo.
