    Nothing particularly surprising about that you may think, only the last time he played in the Premier League was nine years ago.

    I wonder if there's ever been a regular top flight player who's ended up making an appearance after a nine year absence?

    Burridge? Shilton? There was a coach a few years ago who had to be the sub goaly, also didn't Fettis have to be on the bench at Utd a while ago? May have been the reserves?

    Burridge four years, Shilton three years and Fettis only played a game for Man United reserves and was never a regular top flight player anyway.

    Surely Richard Wright was signed up to boost the home grown pool as required.
