This comment by Nigel Adkins in today's morning paper had me wondering.
' Chaplow has unbelievable energy and tenacity. He gets into goal scoring positions but his great asset is his flexibility. I asked him to play wide right and he responded with a great performance'.
This is not the Chaplow I and probably most North Enders recall but I then wondered were we totally wrong. Dis we fail to give him sufficient credit. and not just we fans but the management too. It raises the question about the competency of the club's management during the last few years. If management failed to recognise the attributes that Chaplow clearly has then how many other players can this be applied to. Of course Nigel Adkins is a top manager who without making a fuss seems able to get the best from his teams. Something sadly lacking at Preston.
