You may laugh however François Hollande recently had to quietly drop the 50% proposed Super Tax in France.
I'm not laughing at the notion of opposing the 50p tax rate, I;d expect any wealthy person to oppose it. It's his choice of terminology AGAIN. You can make a reasoned argument without wishing people dead, which is something Mr Allam fails to grasp.
He's outspoken and speaks his mind. I'm surprised you don't admire him more olm. I'm also surprised you don't agree with the sentiments of what he said. 50p is a stupid tax idea.
50%... 40% is bad enough i would love to move back to UK but would lose half my earnings as NI is on top of the tax. I understand that higher earners should pay more tax but Mr Allam is right hence most people decide to live overseas. Just means a 18 hour trip to watch city

What's happened to the no politics rule on this site, Allam foot in mouth syndrome aside? By the way, in the UK between 2008 and 2012 the 1,000 richest people increased their income by £155 billion.
