Depends what they are offering? Minimum £10m cash and I could live with it if it helps us recruit 2 or 3 others. I don't think Richardson is pivotal to our future imo.
doesn't even mention sources nor does it have any quotes lol, can't believe they actually make stuff up
£10m... I wonder why we're labelled deluded by the mags... Good squad player but if we got £5.5m back for him I'd be pleased, his potential was never fulfilled.
Not deluded at all matey. We dont need to sell but if Arsenal want him then we should bang the price right up. Other clubs do that to us when we need players. In all honesty, if we sold him for £5.5m and bought Pienaar for the same, I'd be well chuffed but if Arsenal want to buy him why should we just give him away.
Fair point mate, just don't see us getting any more than what we paid for him. Apart from that free kick and flashes of utter class now and again he's been a petulant, reluctant player for us most of the time. I don't think we have the keeping power most clubs have as our shops aren't great for the wags and for those without a wag... I'm saying **** all about our birds. O'Neill may however bring more out of him and make him more valuable.
Richardson gets lots of unfair stick IMO because he gives his all every time he plays. It would be a great move for him and we replace him with Penar from Spurs.
I think Richardson has been playing really well of late and I would be sorry to see the lad leave...Having said that, I would be very surprised if there is an ounce of truth in the Mirror's story.
See I desagree - I thi n Richardson is very important to us - since O'Neill took charge he (like a lot of others) has been a revelation - playing in a settled position (mostly!!) he has been a different player than under Bruce and much much better so for me it would have to be a very good offer for someone who is capable of playing anywhere down the left (to a point) or in the hole (which imo is his best position!) If the money is right then, as has been said before, everyone has their price, but when has Wenger ever spent 10m on a player??
Mr Wenger (like myself) are very good at spotting talent, players with composure, skill, flair, can beat a man, can pass (more than 2 yards without the ball going astray), score goals..He (like myself) wouldn't have Richardson in his team if he was the last player on earth. Please don't put this on the Arsenal board. They would choke on their frigging weetabix.
Im sure the rags just have a massive bingo/lottery style game and randomly pick out a team and a player and then just write a story. If we take the article as having a shred of truth then as for Ricco id say everyone has a price. Ive sympathy for the lad as he hasnt been able to settle in a specific position for ages (left wing, off the striker, left back) and to be fair when he has had a consistent run of games in one position (left back at the start of this season) for me he was a reliable performer, his distribution wasnt the best especially considering his midfield credentials however his pace was definately as asset when facing pacey wingers and to get himself out of trouble at time. At this point in time where we are short at the back tho id say without an over the top offer he'll be staying put.
sorry, but this is BS. MON wouldnt have had him in the starting 11 if he didnt do a good job, and I trust MON's judgement over yours any day. Ricco give his all, gets back defensively when need and offers a good threat up front as well. He hasnt been putting too many away so far, but neither has Sess. Richardson will never be a 20 million player, but 10 million is reasonable imo for a player who would, based on his form this season and the fact he can play in 3 positions, would get into the squad (if not starting 11) of any team outside of the top 6. Not many players have the versatility of Richardson, and that is valuable Cattermole has been much worse than Ricco this season up until MON took over and so has O'Shea (in terms of giving the ball away).
Everyone would trust his judgement over mine. That's why he was appointed manager and I wasn't... Bit of an odd thing to point out but thanks. I agree Ricco's full of energy and talent but I disagree. I think he doesn't defend well at all and becomes petulant when he needs to do so. You misunderstand. I don't want him to go, but I don't think he's as valuable as has been mentioned. I'd suggest he only really plays in two positions well though. Left wing and in an advanced midfield role/the hole. Spits his dummy out at left back and a few years ago was doing so and becoming disinterested when having to play on the wing. Completely agree that Cattermole and O'Shea were much worse players prior to Bruce getting the sack.
