He would be a great signing for us IMO. I would rather see him than an untried / unknown from Man U youth team
Someone's mentioned him on another thread at some point I think. I guess it depends on how badly he wants first team football or is he just happy sitting in Stoke's reserves? If he is willing to drop into the Championship I bet other teams would be in for him as well as us.

Someone posted that he would be a good option a few weeks ago, I don't think it's worked it's way up to being a rumour yet. As posted before either on here or CI There is no doubt he's a very decent Target Man (6, 3"??ish), but not only that he's actually a better 'footballer' than you may think which would suit Barmby's passing game. I think on the last post re him, someone mentioned he was a bit of a naughty boy, not quite in the realms of King so to speak though. I have no idea what his temperament is, however he is getting on a bit, which is fine but if we are to bring in older heads, I would prefer them to be more role models (for certain) as for example Garcia is. If he has/would be a decent dressing room player though I can't see many better options, especially as he shouldn't cost the earth (1-1.5m?? at a guess, don't know what his contract is though)
I love reading football rumours it makes me laugh so much. Have you seen some of the postings on there recently? Apparently we'll be getting Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on loan as cover for when Stewart goes and we're signing Billy Sharp, Nicky Maynard and Kris Boyd. With the law of averages, one of them will turn out to be true!
lol They might as well have said that Hudds have offered us 50k and Jordan Rhodes in part exchange if they think we're going to charge that for an old player, who can't even make our bench when we've no goalie and no other striker on it, and who's out of contract in a few months.
Fuller is past it, as is Heskey. Any chance of Chamakh from Arsenal since he is out of favour and in the premier league. lols
