Here you go Swamp, http://forums.techguy.org/windows-vista/944882-all-desktop-icons-adobe-reader.html someone else who had the same problem, basically you need to un-associate the files from adobe to the correct ones.
Swampy - Proph can't understand why you're having a problem with your OS. He's never bothered with 95, 98, 2000, XPpro, Vista nor 7. He bought his from Fred Dibnah years ago and wants to lend you his recovery disk for steam.............
I'll have you know I've had windows in my house for ages Try deleting the programme, if it won't let you and you downloaded Adobe from t'internet go to the tools option at the top of your home page, select internet options, open the advanced tag, scroll down until you come to the security section (about 2/3rds of the way down) 7th option down should say "do not save encrypted pages to disc" tick that box and close down, you should then be able to delete Adobe, and download it again which should solve your problem, Adobe downloads are encrypted and are saved straight to disc unless you enable this feature which is why you are having trouble deleting the corrupted programme. If that doesn't work it's ****ed
