" After sustained betting this evening, Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes is now 10/1 (from 20/1) to join Norwich. Will a deal happen before 11pm on deadline day? See all our transfer specials. by jonathan.witty2 8:45 PM " Surely this isn't true....? Not a wind up - thoughts ?
It's more like 11/10 now, I am not going to look into it any further as I will actually be sick if it was to happen.
can't see it happening, as much as i would love it. it would take mega-money to prise him away from huddersfield and who can blame them. they don't need the money - they need championship football and he is key to that goal mind you, those odds are staggering - they have fallen like a stone! 11/10 http://www.oddschecker.com/football...ary-transfer-window/bet-history/norwich/today
What ever happens let's not forget the part that Huddersfield played in his developement. If he had stayed at Ipswich he would probably be on loan at Witham Athletic by now.
lambert has stated this morning he has 'one or two irons in the fire' transfer wise today. the odds are startling but a) its a betting scam to get the market moving - it wouldn't be the first time and b) i don't think city can afford rhodes to be honest...
i suppose if its a swap plus cash it would be either martin or jackson but i still doubt very much that its going to happen. we've seen it before - bookies suddenly crash the odds, then get a flurry of expectant bets and nowt happens. i do think lambert wants rhodes - he is hardly alone in expressing an interest - but i'm sure a deal is more likely to be arranged for the summer if anything does happen today. maybe an offer of say £4m with rhodes loaned back to huddersfield for the rest of the season? that way the offer covers the loss of income if they fail to be promoted but they keep their star turn too. who knows...
He's not our player and has not been for a while so i'm not bothered you fill your boots i'm not convinced he will make the step up anyway...
