This is a rant. I don't do it very often, but I was fu.king livid last night. I'm not really interested in internationals, but I thought I'd watch it last night because it was Gerrard's 100th cap. A massive achievement in anyone's book. Before kick-off, the brummy twat presenter turned to Roy Keane first and said "So Roy, what about Stevie Gerrard?". Keane replied saying that Gerrard isn't a great player, he's a good player, but doesn't inspire players around him. The other two pundits couldn't believe it. At the end of the match, all Keane had to say was that Danny Welbeck would be a great player for England. He's a horrible, vile, graceless, career-ending cu.t of a human being. What behaviour on the occasion of a player's 100th cap, whoever that player is. TWAT.
You do know Keane is a Cork pikey traveller. Vile was par for the course for that guy, just surprised he hasn't become a scrap merchant. Also loving the way Mozilla and it's merican English is telling me half of what I type is spelled incorrectly fkn tarded merican English, lets take out the letters we cannot comprehend to make it easier for our ******s to understand. Think there's a little KPR is all of us today
I usually like to listen to Keane because he speaks his mind, same reason I like to listen to Robbie Savage and Joey Barton. It does not mean I believe what they say or even respect their words. But, how can anyone say Steven Gerrard doesn't inspire other players...? That is just ridiculous and make me question his motives. Did something go off between him and Gerrard in the past...?
Lol: that's Keane on every itv show. Gets asked a leading question and disputes the premise everytime. You can see it peeves Gareth off no end as he's contradicted time after time. If that fat bastard Adrian had any wit he'd start slipping in some trips like; "Roy; I hear that rich tea should always be dunked in your tea" "Absolutely not; rich tea should be eaten dry and then sip your tea" "Roy; its true that Alex gets you to spit as a young player" "No, I don't think that's true at all, dribble maybe but not full on spit"
It was as a footballer. Not just an English footballer. Anyway, who has been 'great' for England over the last 10 years? 100 caps is 100 caps and says a lot. Don't defend the sh1t just because he played for you. The other two pundits couldn't believe what they were hearing.
it aint what Keane says, its the importance he puts on what he thinks that annoys me. Keane is totally subscribed to the views of one Roy Keane
If I needed advice on catching Dick Dastardly I'd ask Roy and his Ant Hill Mob. For everything else there's Alan Hansen.
That's a waste of food, which is no laughing matter. Peope are starving, some for the team we used to be.
I dont know, I didnt watch the game.. How do you know he wasn't just referring to his England career?? It was an international match not a liverpool home game. To be fair we all had this debate the other day when one of you lot was slating the United players that play for England being ****.. We will always favour the players from our own team and be overly critical of the ones who play for teams we dislike. Gerrard has probably had 5 great games for England and to the most part been bobbins. His scoring record is rubbish compared to his record at club level. I'm not defending Keane by the way just trying to put a bit of perspective on the comment. As to who has been great for England in the last ten years or so, I'd say Beckham, Shearer, Ashley Cole, Scholes. Controversially I always felt Rio and Terry always put in top performances.
Yes I AM. He has never taken his club form into international football. The others I mention all did and do. You lot have had some great players over the years. I have always felt that the players from LFC that play for England have ALWAYS under performed, the two that stick in my mind the most are; John Barnes; had one memorable game for England. Fowler; Couldnt hit a barn door in an England shirt Only player from Liverpool that seemed to give a **** about England was Mcmanaman.
and Owen. He cared more about playing for England than any club he represented. Now he only cares about being near his horses.
Gerrard's done far more for England than McManaman ever did Macca was seen in similar light to Barnes, superb for Liverpool but never did it for England
There haven't been any 'great' England international players since 1966 sweats, great international players win international trophies.
