What has RVPs contract talks got to do with a Spurs player saying that they are likely to miss out on the Champions League ?

He also said that the Spud's manager doesn't know his job :)

I'd say that a player out on loan having a dig at a manager that he's unlikely to play for again is less of a revolution than your star player further postponing his contract talks, Piskie.

I think that Corluka's comments are unwise and self-motivated, but I don't disagree with some of his points, by the way.

Have you got a quote from RVP to back up this unsubstantiated rumour?

    Thought not :p

That sounds eerily familiar, for some reason. <whistle>

Spuds the only club in history to launch a genuine title challenge (in theirs and the loving media's eyes) and yet come 6th closer to the relegation zone on points than the champions? Its possible <laugh>

I think you've got the motives arse about face mate. Corluka is simply commenting on what he's seen happening at his club. RVPs contract talks are on the cards, but as there are only 4 days between the end of the season and the Dutch team meeting up for the Euro finals, it makes more sense not to try and sort it out in such a short time, but when both parties have the time to sit down and talk without distraction.

I think you're reading way too much into the RVP story and I think you posted it as a reaction to try and divert attention away from one of your own players criticising your club.

Do you think that van Persie actually negotiates his own contract, Piskie?

I think he plays a significant part in the process, yes.

He should get a better agent, then.

If he has no qualms about signing a new contract, then there's not a lot to do.

Harry reckons 'Charlie' is talking nonsense. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17873101
claiming that "I didn't hear anyone complaining a month or so ago when we were beating everybody and flying." But surely this is the point that Corluka is making? You can't sustain the same intensity, without giving some of the players a rest. So surely Harry is the one peddling the nonsense ?

Are you surprised? Harry is a league 1 standard manager

I thought the same thing when I read it too! Bizarre interview that and even by Harry's usual crafty excuses and BS(Rosie the dog) this is ridiculous "It's a load of nonsense and it's an excuse," when replying to Corluka's criticism and then "It's difficult to rotate a team. It's OK to rotate if you have enough players to rotate and you're very, very strong in all positions" pretty much supporting exactly Corluka's theory!!!! Can't wait to see what he will come out with when the pressure really gets to him as England manager!

They cannot seriously still be considering Redknapp as England manager? The best outcome from an Arsenal supporting Englishman is for him to stay where he is.

  20. The FA are a bunch of idiots. Every year they make stupid mistakes, whether that be contract lengths and values, the selection of a manager, the firing of a manager, the friendlies they play... After all this time, what makes us think that they will do anything other than make a stupid mistake again = i.e appoint 'Arry on a fortune, and then sack him after 2-3 years after another disaster.
