It ****in pisses me off that mainstream telly does not show the old Tom and Jerry cartoons. Yet they are quite happy to show a rape scene in Eastbenders before the watershed, so someone was telling me anyway.

Too violent my ****in arse. And they are absolutely hilarious.

Same goes for Laurel & Hardy.

The hypocrisy never ceases to astound me. Gory violent films are fine though.

As a struggling young, black actor back in the 70s, all I was offered was negative stereotypical roles for black men such as honky-tonk dance hall proprietor or street pimp. I'm delighted to see that the world is moving on.
